10 Outdoor Volunteering Opportunities

Jun 13, 2019

It’s becoming increasingly evident that natural environments are important for our health. Not only is being outdoors fun, but more importantly – it’s good for the brain, body and soul!  According to psychologists, exposure to nature helps us shrug off societal pressures, allowing us to remember and value more important things like relationships, sharing, and community. Sunlight is a natural stress-reliever, giving a boost of energy and a much needed dose of Vitamin D after a long winter’s hibernation. And if you’re feeling stuck at work or at home – being outdoors is thought to enhance creativity! So, in spirit of good health and community building, we’ve curated a list of outdoor volunteering opportunities for you to do this summer and reap the benefits boosting your health and well-being, soaking up the sunshine and giving back to our community!
