Previously named the National Aboriginal Day Conference, this conference aims to spread awareness of the TRC Calls to Action and to educate Canadian Citizens on the culture and history of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit Peoples. The TALK Conference will immerse Red Deer and the communities of Central Alberta in a fun and educational experience aimed at professionals that work directly with Indigenous populations, as well as those local non-professionals of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous background. Participants will acquire the knowledge to not only live a culturally rich life, but also to help those that want to find culture and to help build a healthy and safe place of belonging, and networks of like-minded individuals to help build community.
